The Ultimate Limit

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحَيْمِ

There was a movie of this title. It is about how a nation maintains its prosperity by sacrificing its young population using a special capsule which is inserted into their body.

24 hours before the capsule is to bring death to the selected ones, a government official brings Death of Certificate to that particular individual. Those who receive this certificate have only 24 HOURS of absolute freedom to do anything they want.

This movie depicted how these selected ones spend their last precious 24 hours before their death...

Somehow this movie got me thinking on how I would react if I was told that I only have 24 hours to leave and not more.

Do I have enough time to do as many deeds as I can to ‘reimburse’ all the sins that I have done?

Do I have enough time to perform ibadah to Allah as my preparation for the Hereafter?

Or do I have the time to ask for forgiveness from all the people that I have hurt?

A list of questions came to my mind and the list goes on and on and on

No one knows when and how they are going to die except Allah the Almighty.

It is this knowledge that we should instill in ourselves to remind us constantly about death.

Let us use our time wisely doing good deeds and something beneficial to us and everyone around us :)

Let’s strive for the best and May Allah make things easy for us. Amin.

Nota kaki: This is a reminder for myself especially. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Jazakillah khair.

  2. Assalamualaikum,

Wah, mcm best je cerita Ultimate Limit ni. Menarikkan, cite omputeh ni boleh bagi tazkirah pada kite. And Alhamdulillah we are able to interpret it in a good way, because as we know, aqidah and ibadah ni merangkumi segaalaaaaa bende dlm dunia ni.

What would I do if I have 24 hours to live. Hurm...
